We would like to thank the Board for providing the procedural by-law on Delegations to the Board. Please download a copy here - Procedural by-law on Delegations to the Board. Delegating the board, is the communities opportunity to speak directly to the 12 elected Trustees at a public board meeting. The PARC process provides for this approximately ,60 days after the delivery of the report to the Director of Education. Please remember that the first 30 days the Director and Admin. Council will write their report and recommendation for the Board. This will likely be presented at the April 16, 2008 Board Meeting. It is our recommendation that delegating the board should be based on facts and decisions that support viable programming for the students. We would also recommend creating groups that represent broad sections of our population. These issues affect all of South East Oakville and if the delegations represent a large portion of the community it may have a stronger impact on the Trustees. We should also consider coordinating our message, so we deliver a consistent approach to the Trustees.
